Twenty-five acres of Amazon jungle farm land is just waiting to be developed to be a self-sustaining farm serving as a headquarters, connecting various missions, ministries and businesses dedicated to the advancement of God’s Kingdom cross-culturally.
This farm currently hosts the Escuela de Misiones de la Amazonia (Mission School of the Amazonas) but we envision it to have so much more. Through this farm, eternal and physical fruit will be produced through unified Kingdom work to build Christ’s church and equip others for His service. Currently, we’re working on adding a dorm/house for students coming to study to be Gospel workers to the indigenous communities in the Amazonas where there is little to no Gospel representation.
A farm
for the
Kingdom
One of the primary goals of Finca La Promesa is to develop methods and technologies that help open doors for sharing the Gospel in remote and hard‑to‑reach areas, while also improving the quality of life for the communities we serve. To accomplish this, we actively collaborate with ministries and organizations experienced in fish farming and agriculture, which are used as tools to open doors to preaching the Gospel. Through these partnerships, we learn, apply, and teach these practices to others, multiplying their impact and extending their reach.
We also work to make the farm a self‑sustaining entity, generating income for its maintenance and staff salaries through the sale of fruit, fish, and chickens, as well as relying on volunteer help for daily upkeep and construction projects. The farm is used as a place of rest and lodging for people who come from different areas to serve in the Amazon, and its spaces host training programs and events that seek to advance the Kingdom of God among indigenous communities.
In 2024, we hosted our first farming training in partnership with ITEC, an organization that offers its global experience in areas such as agriculture, mechanics, and health to support mission work among indigenous people groups. During this training, we identified unique characteristics of the Amazon in terms of planting and harvest cycles, insights we are now studying to better adapt our methods in the areas where we work and to have the greatest potential for impact.
As part of the ongoing development of Finca La Promesa, we’re actively seeking passionate individuals with a heart for missions, people who want to use their unique gifts and areas of expertise to serve the Lord. We’re looking for team members to help create resources, training programs, and projects that will be a blessing to the field. If this is something that interests you, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for a director for the farm, an individual or family with a heart for missions who wants to use their gifts and talents to help Finca La Promesa fulfill its purpose of blessing the mission field through the development of projects, research, and sustainable resources. Short or longer term teams are also invited to participate in the development of the farm and its ministries. If you or your church group would like to pursue joining one of these teams, we’d love to help make it happen. Contact us here and we’ll work with you to arrange a visit.
We’re also raising funds to build additional cabins and expand the farm’s agricultural areas, strengthening its capacity and quality. Please consider supporting the needs of Finca La Promesa. Every contribution makes a difference.
