JAPAN
From the snowy peak of Mount Fuji to the erratic waters of the Sea of Japan, the contrasts of the landscape mimic the unpredictable but fascinating culture. The isolation of the archipelago of Japan coincides with its isolation from God. Working alongside the tiny, but resilient church, Gospel workers provide English classes, Gospel music choir and various other means to open doors for the proclamation of the Good News.
Education that Opens Doors
In Japan, the Lord is using the widespread influence of the English language in business and education to open doors for the preaching of the gospel. The Japanese remain one of the largest unreached people groups in the world. Deeply rooted traditional beliefs often become a barrier to surrendering their lives to the love of Jesus.
Team serving in Japan

Gabriel Acosta

Gabriel grew up traveling with his parents to Latin America on numerous RBW teams. His life has been impacted by these experiences and now, the Lord has drawn his heart toward the Japanese people. After much prayer and in consultation with his local church leadership and with the approval of the RBW Missions Board of Directors, he has been commissioned to go and service with the Shimonoseki Bible Church teaching conversational English through their outreach ministry.
